Grades 7 and Up Book Club: City of Ember

The first Grades 7 and Up Book Club of the school year will be held on Wednesday, September 27 at 3 p.m. We will be reading City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau

"The city of Ember was built as a last refuge for the human race. Two hundred years later, the great lamps that light the city are beginning to flicker. When Lina finds part of an ancient message, she’s sure it holds a secret that will save the city. She and her friend Doon must decipher the message before the lights go out on Ember forever!"-publisher

We typically meet the fourth Wednesday of the month at 3:00 p.m. Although this month's book was chosen for you, we usually vote for the book to read and talk about the next month. For September, Miss Lisa decided to pick well-loved classics but the sky's the limit in the months to come. Miss Lisa blogs while we talk in order to record our amazing insights!

Snacks and interesting conversation are guaranteed!
